Family:  Ophichthidae (Snake eels), subfamily: Myrophinae
Max. size:  35 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; marine
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: Gulf of Oman; Taiwan, Vietnam and Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A benthic species which occurs over soft bottoms of the continental shelf (Ref. 7300, 75154). Adults apparently have a pelagic lifestyle (caught with many mesopelagic species in Taiwan) (Ref. 96531).
