Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 28-29. This species is distinguished by the following characters: head length approximately 2.5 times in SL; maximum body height 23.6% SL; preanal length approximately 48% SL; A. 28-29; developed gill rakers 16, the longest of them approximately 13.3% of head length; oral cavity and pectoral fin light (Ref. 122568).
