Family:  Neozoarcidae ("Largemouth kissing eelpouts")
Max. size:  16 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 6 - 8 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan Sea off Korean Peninsula and coast of Russia to both sides of Tatar Strait, Okhotsk Sea off east and south coasts of Sakhalin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found near coast in beds and clumps of algae (Ref. 51666), in shallow waters down to 6-8 m in sandy grounds (Ref. 102278).

Threat to humans:  harmless
