Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  North America: upper Green, upper Barren, Cumberland (in Little South Fork and downstream), Duck and lower Tennessee (between Cumberland and Duck Rivers) river drainages in Kentucky and Tennessee, USA.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits clear rocky runs and pools of creeks and small rivers (Ref. 5723). Also found in small, clear upland streams with predominantly gravel substrates (Ref. 10294).
