Family:  Nothobranchiidae (African rivulines)
Max. size:  5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 7; dH range: 4 - 10, non-migratory
Distribution:  Africa: Kenya and Tanzania.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in temporary pools in floodplains, swamps and temporary ditches (Ref. 3788). Bottom spawner, 2-4 months incubation. Is easy to maintain in the aquarium (Ref. 27139).
