Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 5.5 - 6.5; dH range: 10, non-migratory
Distribution:  South America: Atlantic coastal river basins in Brazil.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Bottom spawner,10 months incubation. Is difficult to maintain in aquarium (Ref. 27139).
