Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range - 290 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 7-7; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 1-1; Anal soft rays: 9-9; Vertebrae: 26-26. This species is distinct in having a dusky chin, without dusky vertical bars on the body; largely separated pelvic fins; and wide gill opening (ref. 75138).
Biology:  Only specimen collected by beam trawl at 290 m depth (Ref. 75138).
