Family:  Tetrarogidae (Wasp fishes)
Max. size:  5.32 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 29 - 350 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: Kermadec Islands and Chesterfield Bank.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 16-17; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-8; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 5-6; Vertebrae: 28-30. Second dorsal spine elongate, the length of which divided by third 1.6-1.7. Lower margin of the second infraorbital bone with a small spine. A small spine usually found on the lateral face of lachrymal bone above base of second long spine (Ref. 35987).
