Distribution:  Southeast Atlantic and Western Indian Ocean: off Transkei, South Africa (Ref. 11228) and off Kenya.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-14; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-8
Biology:  A deep-water species.
