Environment:  reef-associated; marine
Distribution:  Western Pacific: southern Japan, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 10-10; Dorsal soft rays (total): 14-14; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-7
Biology:  Inhabits deeper rocky reefs (Ref. 39231).
