Distribution:  Asia: Mahakam River drainage in eastern Borneo, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 3-4; Anal soft rays: 63-70; Vertebrae: 52-54. Body depth at anus 17.3-20.9% SL; interorbital distance 49.1-56.1% HL; maxillary and mandibular barbels extending well beyond caudal-fin base (maxillary barbel length 402.1-474.8% HL, mandibular barbel length 363.1-477.8% HL); and males with 8-11 serrations on posterior edge of pectoral spine (Ref. 42932).
