Max. size:  9.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 18 - 19 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Shimoni, Kenya to Natal, South Africa.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 11-11; Dorsal soft rays (total): 13-14; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 13-14. Black spot between the 3rd and 5th spines.
Biology:  Inhabits burrows.
