Distribution:  Asia: Taiwan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 10-11; Anal soft rays: 11-13; Vertebrae: 39-41. More than 48 (modally 50-54) scales on lateral line; 20-23 predorsal scales; 4+36-37 (= 40-41) vertebral count; maxillary extending to or beyond vertical midline of orbit in female; and opercle and ventral side of head orange-red to pink-red in adult male (Ref. 95038).
