Max. size:  2.23 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Laos and Viet Nam.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 6-7; Anal soft rays: 19-20; Vertebrae: 30-30. Principal caudal fin rays 5/6 (Ref. 27658); upper half of pectoral fin base with black spot; relatively slender body (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Found in rice paddies (Ref. 27658), swamps and sheltered areas of slow flowing rivers (Ref. 43281).
