Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 15-17; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Dorsal fin with 11-13 branched rays; a conspicuous dark stripe along lateral line terminating on median caudal rays; 8-10 rows of spots along rows of scales (Ref. 27732).
