Max. size:  14 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 1 - 119 m, non-migratory
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific: restricted to the Hawaiian Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthopelagic (Ref. 58302). Nocturnal, under ledges or in caves by day (Ref. 9710).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 05 February 2021 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
