Max. size:  25.5 cm SL (male/unsexed); 28.2 cm SL (female)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 788 - 910 m
Distribution:  Southwest Atlantic: Brazil.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 87-90; Anal soft rays: 67-70; Vertebrae: 92-95. Diagnosis: Distinguished by a combination of these characters: scales and ventral lateral line absent; caudal vertebrae 67-69; gill rakers on upper limb 1-2 (Ref. 57887).
Biology:  Benthic fauna of sampling area diverse in deep-sea corals, echinoderms, molluscs, and crustaceans (Ref. 57887).
