Max. size:  30.4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range - 4050 m
Distribution:  Western Indian Ocean: Arabian Sea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 98-98; Anal soft rays: 82-82; Vertebrae: 103-103. Head and body pale gray. Lateral line configuration ventromediolateral, with the bend above the pectoral fin. Abdomen and pectoral fin bases with scales; predorsal naked. Pectoral fin length 13.3% SL. Mouth subterminal (Ref. 47926).
Biology:  Maximum depth from holotype record (Ref. 51665). Minimum depth from Ref. 58018.
