Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Hongshui River (Pearl river drainage) in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
Diagnosis:  Distinguished from its congeners by the following characters: snout is shorter than head length after eye; caudal peduncle depth is longer than its length; head length/interorbital width ratio is 3.2~3.5; head back and behind and under lateral line possess many round spots (Ref. 92142).
