Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Europe: river basins of Turia and Mijares in eastern Spain.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in stretches with swift current. Can survive in still water but needs access to flowing waters to spawn. Spawning occurs on gravel to stone bottom. Moves to upper reaches of drainages to spawn in March-May (Ref. 59043).
