Distribution:  Western Pacific: Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 65-65; Anal soft rays: 52-52; Vertebrae: 40-43. This species is distinguished by having vertebrae 11+ 29-32 = 40-43, D 65, A 52; head length 23.8-25.2 % SL and height 13.3-14.4 % SL; predorsal length 30.0-31.1; 1 lower preopercular pore; outer pseudoclasper broad wing-shaped and short; inner pseudoclasper a double lobed broad flap, anteriorly joined to outer pseudoclasper forming curved feature, with supporter; scale patch on cheek, 8 rows of scales on upper cheek and 4 scale rows on lower cheek; head with blunt snout (Ref. 76869). Description: Characterized by having body depth at anal fin origin 14.1-16.8 % SL; no opercular scales (Ref. 90102).
Biology:  Solitary in reef crevices and cryptic (Ref 90102).
