Max. size:  9 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 360 - 800 m
Distribution:  Southern Ocean: circumpolar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 48-52; Anal soft rays: 41-48; Vertebrae: 54-58. Snouts jutting slightly past the mouth, thus subterminal (Ref. 34661); radialia 3; all radials round; gill slit expands ventrally in front of four pectoral rays (Ref. 36325).
