Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 1000 - 1152 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: Great Australian Bight.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 63-63; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 57-57; Vertebrae: 70-70. Caudal-fin rays 8; pectoral fin notched, upper and lower pectoral lobes long; pectoral without rudimentary rays, with 3 round radials; chin pores paired, small, not in pits; uppermost pectoral ray horizontal with eye center; HL 19.7% SL; preanal 37% SL; mandible to anus short, 11.4% SL; skin semitransparent, reddish-brown, peritoneum brownish-black (Ref. 42734).
Biology:  Found on the continental slope. Benthic (Ref. 75154).
