Distribution:  Africa: recorded from Lake Mai-Ndombe in Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ref. 1878), but reported from the entire Central Congo basin (Ref. 7094).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in the middle of the lake and along the shorelines (Ref. 1877).
