Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 3-3; Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-8; Anal spines: 2-2; Anal soft rays: 5-5. Deep bodied with complete lateral line and deeply forked caudal fin. Free margin of dorsal fin emarginate.
