Family:  Osphronemidae (Gouramies), subfamily: Luciocephalinae
Max. size:  1.87 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: southern Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 4-6; Anal spines: 8-10; Anal soft rays: 11-14; Vertebrae: 25-26. Absence of lateral ocellus on middle of flank; presence of a conspicuous mid-lateral stripe; number of abdominal ribs usually 8 starting on second vertebra; and a single epural in the caudal fin. Posterior branch of first pelvic soft ray elongated as filament that projects slightly beyond fin membrane (Ref. 47277).
