Family:  Chlorophthalmidae (Greeneyes)
Max. size:  25.3 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 100 - 700 m
Distribution:  Eastern Atlantic: 21°N (Cap Blanc) to 7°S. Reported from Namibia. Differs from the western Atlantic Parasudis truculentus very slightly which suggest possible conspecificity (Mead 1966).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  A hermaphroditic species found on the upper slope.
