Max. size:  8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: mountain tributaries of the Gourits and Keurbooms River systems, Cape Province, South Africa.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits pools in clear, flowing Fold Mountain streams. Feeds off the substrate on algae, detritus and bottom-living and other invertebrates. Breeds in summer (Ref. 7248).
