Environment:  pelagic; freshwater; brackish; pH range: 15 - 30; dH range: 30, anadromous
Distribution:  Asia: India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 4-4; Dorsal soft rays (total): 1-8; Anal soft rays: 3-9
Biology:  Found in rivers and estuaries. Oviparous, eggs are pelagic and non-adhesive (Ref. 205).
