Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: SinĂº and Magdalena River basins and possibly the Catatumbo River.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Prefers slow-flowing rivers; also encountered in swamps or marshes (Ref. 26543).
