Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Along the middle of the sides are a series of elongated blotches; the dorsal mid-line with a series of 6-8 irregular dark saddles; small suborbital flap in males (Ref. 27732).
Biology:  Occurs in shallow water over sandy substrate (Ref. 27732).
