Distribution:  Asia: Nam Theun of the Mekong basin in Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-12; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Distinguished by its anterior nostril at the extremity of a small tube; axillary pelvic lobe rudimentary or absent; a complete lateral line; about 8-11 well marked vertical bars on the sides; often a vermiculated pattern on the cheeks (Ref. 27732).
Biology:  Found in stretches with relatively slow current and gravel or sandy substrate; stomach of one female contained arthropod remains (Ref. 27732).
