Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands. Validity of this species questioned in Compagno's 1999 checklist (Ref. 35766).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  On soft bottoms in shallow waters. Ovoviviparous (Ref. 50449). Venomous spine on tail.
