Max. size:  15 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: Japan and the Sea of Japan.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12-13; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 10-13. Body covered with prickles. Body dark green or dark brown dorsally, covered with many irregular white stripes; white ventrally (Ref. 559).
