Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Maracaibo River basin, Venezuela.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Diurnal species found in turbid and somewhat deep waters of rivers and swamps and marshes (Ref. 26543). Usually found amongst submerged tree trunks (Ref. 26543). Carnivore (Ref. 26543).
