Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: coastal rivers in southeastern Brazil (Ref. 37098). Reported from Argentina (Ref. 9086) and Uruguay (Ref. 54736).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Reaches around 20 cm SL (Ref. 81048).
