Max. size:  4 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 6 - 7; dH range: 5 - 19
Distribution:  Asia: Thailand (Ref. 6459) and Laos (Ref. 30857) to Indonesia (Ref. 4537).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in ditches, small ponds, and peats. Most common in standing or stagnant water that has a dense cover of floating plants and may sometimes has low oxygen levels. Feeds on zooplankton and aquatic insects (Ref. 12693).
