Family:  Uranoscopidae (Stargazers)
Max. size:  25 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 55 - 420 m
Distribution:  Northwest Pacific: southern Japan to the South China Sea, excluding the Ryukyu Islands.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in shelf and shelf edge (Ref. 11230). Hides in sandy bottoms.
