Family:  Urolophidae (Round rays)
Max. size:  57 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; marine; depth range 5 - 150 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: endemic to Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs on the continental shelf (Ref. 7300). Adults feed on worms, crabs, shrimp, and small bony fishes while juveniles take small crustaceans (Ref. 12951).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 06 August 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  traumatogenic
