Comments: | First introduced into the Yedigöller National Research Park. Fry and fingerlings are released to water bodies by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, to some internal forest waters by the General Directorate of National Parks and Game Wildlife. Approximately, 2 million trout is produced annually from six trout hatcheries (Ref. 57271). Some breeding attempts had been tried. Escapes from Turkish fish farms around Elazig breed in streams tributary to the Keban Dam (Ref. 27435). Ref: Coad, B.W., 1996 |
