Body is elongate, as is the head (head depth is 18-20% SL). Stalked eyes. Stalks decrease in size as larvae grows. Pigmentation: Three to five large, stellate melanophores are present on the lateral surface of the body, and there are several small melanophores on the caudal tip along with four to six melanophores on the lateral surface of the gut.
