Dorsale stekels (totaal): 10 - 11; Dorsale zachte stralen (totaal): 16-17; Anale stekels 0; Anale zachte stralen: 16 - 17. Adults have large pectoral fins that reach well beyond the tips of the pelvic fins, and a prominent black spot on the first dorsal fin between spines V-VIII (Ref. 33616).
