পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 16 - 17; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 9-11; পায়ূ কাঁটা 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 9 - 10.

Inhabits several habitats where rocks are found; usually found in caves and cracks of the biotope; feeds on small fishes, mainly small mbuna that live among the rocks (Ref. 5595). Oviparous (Ref. 205).
