เงี่ยงครีบหลัง (รวม): 1; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่หาง (รวม): 5; ก้านครีบอ่อนที่ก้น: 6 - 9; สัตว์มีกระดูกสันหลัง: 35 - 36. Short nasal barbels (1.0-6.0 % HL). Wide-set eyes, interorbital distance 38.9-47.5% HL. Head with gently-sloping lateral margins. A broadly rounded snout when viewed dorsally (Ref. 37794).

Occurs in streams in upland area with relatively fast flowing water, usually among submerged vegetation or under logs (Ref. 56749).
