Épines dorsales (Total): 6 - 8; Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 6-8; Épines anales 0; Rayons mous anaux: 6 - 7; Vertèbres: 45 - 48. Snout pointed, with a pair of barbels on its ventral surface. Free nasal margin serrated, with small spines. Branchial membranes fused with isthmus.
