Spine dorsali (totale): 3; Raggi dorsali molli (totale): 7-9; Spine anali 3; Raggi anali molli: 8 - 11; Vertebre: 43 - 45. Caudal fin with 17 to 19 rays (Ref. 40476).

Biologia     Glossario (es. epibenthic)

Inhabits small rivers with clear water and pebble-gravel substrate (Ref. 30578). A long-lived species which occurs in water bodies on low plains. Feeds on invertebrates and plants. Reproduction takes place in May and June. Is threatened due to the introduction of other species (Ref. 26100).
