পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 11; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 12; পায়ূ কাঁটা 3; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 10 - 11. Pectoral fins reaching to above third anal spine; body silvery with four broad black bars; two short narrow black bars ventrally in the first silver interspace on body and one on second; head with a black bar through eye; snout partly yellow (Ref. 11441).

Occurs inshore, over rocky bottom.
