पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 11; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 12; गुदा कांटा 3; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 10 - 11. Pectoral fins reaching to above third anal spine; body silvery with four broad black bars; two short narrow black bars ventrally in the first silver interspace on body and one on second; head with a black bar through eye; snout partly yellow (Ref. 11441).

Occurs inshore, over rocky bottom.
