Short description

Espinas dorsales (total): 9 - 15; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 15; Radios blandos anales: 15. Caudal fin slightly emarginated.
The body is slender and covered with large deciduous scales above the lateral line and cycloid scales below the lateral line. Throat, chest and breast are scaleless.
