Espinas dorsales (total): 15; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 8; Espinas anales 3; Radios blandos anales: 5 - 6; Vértebra: 28. No spines on the lateral surface of the lachrymal nor on the lateral surface of the first suborbital bone (Ref. 41496). Second and third dorsal spines very elongate in larger specimens. Body with large irregular dark brown spots.
Trawled over muddy bottoms.
